Bought mine a few years ago, when I was in the market for a new truck. I looked at the new Gen, but opted for a 2020 Tundra TRD Pro. 20k miles later, do not regret it one bit and glad I chose the 2nd Gen..because of all the recalls of the new ones.

After years of ownership, my 2007 Tundra 5.7L has proven itself to be an absolute tank. If you are looking for a truck that balances raw power with Japanese engineering, this is it. Performance: The 5.7L i-Force engine provides incredible torque and towing capacity. It feels effortless even when hauling heavy loads. Reliability: It is the definition of "bulletproof." I have zero warning lights on the dash, and the mechanical integrity is top-notch. Maintenance: One of the best parts is how easy and affordable it is to maintain. Parts are readily available, and the engine bay is straightforward to work on. Comfort: For a 4x4 workhorse, the ride quality is surprisingly smooth and the cabin remains very comfortable for long hauls. Verdict: A capable, durable, and honest machine that stays true to Toyota’s legendary quality
